Big City Skills for Small Town Budgets

Are you an entrepreneur or small business owner looking for a highly professional look, but you don't have either the skills set to do it yourself or a big corporate in-house department to take care of it for you? Let me work on it on my time off.

Farm, Truck-Line, Hair Salon, Ag-Service, City, Club, Organization, Church, Cafe, Bar, Bakery/Catering Service- You name it- I'm excited to to come up with something for you!

Why pay for overhead of some design firm? I've got college training in Art and composition, 20 years of teaching experience in Art, Photography, Newspaper and Yearbook. Put my know-how and and experience to work for you. It won't set you back near as much as going anywhere else.

Book covers, pamphlets, business cards, stationary, print ads, web MeMes, even company logos or buttons- I've done it all. Don't know where to look? Don't know who you can trust to make it look professional but not cost an arm and a leg? I'm your man for pre-press or online graphics.

Let's talk. We can negotiate a price that's fair and a time line that's realistic. I've worked with newspapers and screen printers before so I know what they need. I freelance as a sideline so I can afford to charge less, up to a quarter of what the pros in the city would charge. And I'll listen to what you need and what you're looking for.

ART FOR SALE; Watch this space!

Full time teaching, coaching and parenting has pretty much prevented me from pursuing my free-lance services these last few years, but I'd like to make some of my artwork available and frankly earn some supplemental income while I'm at it. So in the next few weeks I'll be posting images of some of my paintings and drawings which I'd be willing to part with.

Contact me by email if you're interested, otherwise I'll be posting order forms here soon. If you'd like to send one of my works as a gift, please give me the name and address of the recipient and I'll send it to them directly. I'd prefer checks or money orders, but I do have a PayPal "tip-jar" account.

Some of it will be here and some of it will be featured at https://sites.google.com/site/mallorycommunications

Student Portrait Rates

Don't have a lot of bucks, but you want to get your pictures done for a gift, for your team or club, best buddies, or maybe even Senior Pictures.?

Let's talk. I can even supercharge your portraits with text or some special effects just like the pros.

2008 Rates:
$25 initial "sitting" under 90 minutes, $10 per hour after 90min

$10 for a CD or $30 for prints and a CD. Additional charges for multiple copies.

We'll negotiate on orders or orders with an excessive amount of alterations and customizations.

THAT is DIRT CHEAP. If you can't afford a swank studio with lots of overhead, but you don't want to settle for having your friend take your picture with their phone and running off copies on a computer printer that runs out of ink, think. Think malcom.

mal•toons

I've been cartooning since the fifth grade. Nearly 4260 readers have seen my political cartoons week in the Mapleton PRESS in western Iowa since 2006. I also post all kinds of cartoons at http://tedstoons.blogspot.com every week, from the absurd to the inane, there's something for almost everybody, from simply cute and funny, to social, religious, and philosophical commentary.

You can publish mal•toons in your newsletter, magazine of newspaper for just $10 a cartoon per issue. I'll even haggle with you for churches, educational institutions or non-profits. Or, if there's a cartoon you'd like a print of, pick one for just $5.

I'd love for a major syndicate to pick me up one of these days, but until then, self-syndication starts here. I'm not above customizing a cartoon just for you, your joke, your theme, your issue, maybe even your caricature, just let me know. Custom jobs do cost extra.

See TONS of cartoons, or even consider joining my mal•toons group on Facebook

See a new editorial cartoon every Thursday on my cartoon blog

This Fall, I'm starting to mail out cartoons to syndicates and newspapers- wish me luck!

See the PDF of Editorial cartoons that I'm sending out.
